DeQuervain's tendinitis? |
Help!! I have had a joint repair in my thumb and a deQuervain's tendinitis repair in the same area. I think the tendinitis is back, as I am in chronic pain again. De Quervains' TENOSYNOVITIS refers to a stenosing inflammatory process of the first dorsal retinacular compartment containing the tendons of the abductors pollicus longus and extensor pollicis brevis (both at the base of the thumb). Tendonitis is a *****. It can take forever to heal. I had chronic tendonitis of both shoulders for nearly 15 years and finally found a physical therapist who knew what she was tallking about. |
