How do deal with ankle tendinitis? |
I have had ankle tendinitis in the lower back of my ankle due to excessive running and playing basketball. I had this problem for almost 3 years. There is also a bump on top of where my tendinitis occurs. It is not that painful. Its just an irritating burning sensation that is going on in my tendon. Yes. I am getting insurance pretty soon and i will have my family doctor to refer me to a foot doctor. Thank You guys. I will wait a little longer for more answers then i will put this question to vote. Have you been seeing a sports medicine doctor? It'd be a great idea to see one. I have knee problems and I wasn't getting anywhere with regular family docs.... I was finally diagnosed correctly and treated once I visited a sports medicine doc. If you can see an physical therapist and/or a athletic trainer, do so regularly. Hello, I work for a Podiatrist (Foot Doctor). I would recommend you seeing a Podiatrist because you may need to consider getting orthotics. The Podiatrist can even put a shot of cortisone to help with the inflammation. Also by seeing a Podiatrist you will be able to rule out any other problems that may be causing your pain and they can send you to physical therapy to help strengthen your tendons. |
