Tendinitis? Can it be cured?

The following statement was posted by someone:

If you have developed tendinitis in your wrist, it will never go away.

How far is this true?

I am still having pain for about 14 months.

Anything medical that ends with "itis" means that there is inflammation. Tendons usually become inflamed when muscles are strained or injured. If you do any type of repetitive movement, such as typing or playing a guitar, you are at risk for tendinitis.

Whatever you do, don't let a doctor talk you into surgery. Surgery should be a last resort. Try going to a massage therapist that specializes in pain management or post-injury treatment. They relax and loosen the muscles, which causes the tendons to loosen and stop swelling.

Study a muscle chart or two, and try to locate the muscle or muscle group that looks like it is the most likely cause of your pain. You can rub it yourself with some deep-heat rub, and possibly lessen the pain on your own.

If you think it is caused by repetitive actions, try cutting back or finding an alternative motion to accomplish your task. See if that has any impact on the pain.

go see a qualified massage therapist trained in carpal tunnel work...youll feel better very soon...and no, that is a myth...tendonitis is very curable...i know...ive cured many cases myself...

Completely true. There is no cure for tendonitis. You can only treat the pain.

It can be cured. It takes longer than soft tissue because there is less blood flow to it. Often this type pain is caused not be the restricted space in the wrist, but the muscles in your forearm. Anti inflammatory, massage, ice can be helpful.

tendonitis is a temporary thing. I've had it in two places, two times. Both have healed.

Well, okay, my knees are still healing... but, good nutrition does more wonder than any fake *** drug or exercise. : )
