My tendinitis is not healing properly. Please help!? |
About a month ago I was diagnosed with Tendinitis (of the wrist), the doctor said it would take 2 - 3 weeks to heal, but as of yet its still not better. I have a splint and I cut guitar out for the 2 to 3 weeks but It is still not better. When is the best time to wear my splint? Is there any chance I have done more severe damage to my wrist? How can I help reduce inflammation? I'm going to take a guess and say you play A LOT of guitar. I recommend keeping the splint on the majority of the day. When you do take the splint off apply ice and elevate your arm. Also OTC anti-inflammatory medications will help too. If you have when to the doctor already I'm sure he ruled out a tear, bursitis, and arthritis. So, I would give it a few more days and if this doesn't help I would go back to the doctor's office. Thanks so much. Thats great. Though just a couple of questions. I was told that Ice would restrict blood flow because its too cold. Is this true? Im taking anti Inflammation cream, Fish Oil tables and Glucosemine will this help? Report It |
