Am i becoming a Diabetic........ZoMG!!!!!!!!! .......PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!?


Ok i am having sudden urges to at candy sometimes i crave candy so much that i i cant go the night without it, but there are times i can go weeks and even months without candy. Is it just me fooling myself that i need candy? Also i have been noticing that i pee A LOT i probably pee around 6-10times a day if not more....and its really irritating and i am notorious for peeing whenever me and my family go out some place to eat/spend the day. Also i have been drinking a lot of soda which i know is not good, I'm a regular teenage kid (15 turning 16 in December) that works out a lot plays football and wrestles and i was wondering if i do get diabetes will it prevent me from playing football or wrestling.

Also what are some ways i can prevent myself from becoming diabetic?


Any suggestions and answers to my questions will be greatly appreciated.

Sorry if this question comes off as a bad thing or disrespectful thing to most, i really wasn't trying to be.

you should cut down on drinking soda, it is bad for you, empty calories ( sugar-simple carbs- bad for your blood sugar, your skin, your weight) fattening, bad for your energy levels, especially if it has caffeine in it. Switch to water, unsweetened decaf ice tea, low fat milk, low fat soy milk, 100% juice - fruit or veg - anything but soda. It's ok to want candy sometimes, it doesn't mean you are a diabetic. Diabetes has serious symptoms besides "having to pee a lot", you would be seriously ill. So don't worry and have some candy once in awhile ( not a constant thing!!) just remember it is a treat not a staple to your diet. Try having fruit instead when you have the craving, it is sweet but so much better for you. Best of luck !

Kendall Simmons from the Steelers got diabetes a few years back, and look, he's still playing. Diabetes isn't really something to get worked up about. If you have it, it's no biggie. Probably the best way to stop yourself is to eat a healthy diet, exercise, and drink water and milk instead of soda. At least diet soda.....

Number one quit drinking soda, number 2 quit being a drama queen. If it is so weighing on you get a test kit, and test yourself once a month. My Mom died of diabetes at age 60 , I am 45 and not as stressed about it as you are, calm down and live your young life.

I believe you should cut down your sugar in half.. You are an intelligent young man and you would notice a change in your attention. span.. Please consult a physician for lab work, but I think you are alright. A bit spaz I mean that about the Doctor.
