I'm always tired and fatigued...?

Someone help me with this. I've talked with my doctor and he doesn't seem to see a problem here. I've already been diagnosed with Major depression and Generalized anxiety disorder/panic disorder...So my problem is...since I hit my teenage years (i'm now 23) I have been soooo tired! I'm sleepy, my body is always weak.... Some people have told me I get too much sleep. So I cut back for a long time to 5-7 hours a night...that made it worse. I don't drink, I don't use drugs...I'm on Cymbalta for my depression and anxiety...but this has affected me since way before the medicine. Does anyone else experience this? It affects my jobs, my life...everything. I don't want to be tired anymore. I NEVER have energy....HELP!

Yes, get your thyroid checked. If your doctor won't do it, find another one who will.

try sleeping pills..

I would find another Dr, first of all, you need someone who will work with you toward getting you back into life. Maybe you just need to make yourself more active, push yourself into doing something, anything, to get moving.

maybe your iron is low.

or you could actually have chronic fatigue syndrome.
you should ask your doctor about it.

you could also try taking vitamins.
you can get b12 vitamins, and they can help boost your energy.
or, if you want to try vitamins, you could go to TRUESTAR FOR WOMEN, it's a gym for women, but they have the most amazing vitamins.
i know from experience.
they're stuff is really good, but it can get a bit expensive.

goodluck :)

You need a better Dr. first off. You obviously have a problem. It could be your thyroid which a simple blood test, or hormones. You need blood work done for many of these things anemia also could be one. You are way to young to be feeling so tired. Find a new Dr. and explain your to him/her.

2 things. poop more. and exercise more. pple who don't poop enough are exactly what you describe, fatigued, tired, and you just feel weak, even though there's nothing wrong with you. except that you don't go poopy enough. cuz like we're supposed to poop twice a day, and if we don't our body fills up with poop, and we get weak. i know it sounds really weird and nasty, but it's true. the other thing, is exercise. you gots to exercise! exercise releases happiness into your brain, known as endorphins. it gives you lots of energy, and makes you happy! so go take little 15 minute walk outside, and then poop!!!!

I had similar symtoms, so allow me to pose a few questions,...

1. Do you snore?
2. Do you wake up more than once a night?
3. Do you fall asleep or nearly fall asleep in the middle of work?
4. Has your doctor checked your blood oxygen ratio?
5. Have you ever had a sleep study done?

I have sleep apnea, which causes a host of other problems when not treated correctly. Prior to being diagnosed, I could never get enough sleep. I could fall asleep on my feet while lecturing my students, even while rehearsing drumline. I would fall asleep in the middle of my favorite meals, go to bed for ten hours and wake up the next day feeling more burned out than ever.
I had the sleep study done and I now sleep with a CPAP/BIPAP machine. I wake up refreshed after 5 or 6 hours of sleep because I am getting proper sleep instead of waking up in the middle of every apnea episode.

when people are depressed depression makes you tired. the only person who can snap out of it is you by getting the right medication for yourself. if that medication doesn't work ask your doctor as they have many good medications out there.
do you take vitamins as a multivatim might also help you.
