Is it Ok if I dont eat dinner. I just havent been hungry and I like a flat tummy when I wake up in the morning


Is it ok if I dont eat dinner? Im just not really hungry at night and I like geting up and having a flat tummy
Just like the subject title says, is it ok if I dont eat dinner? Im usually not hungry and I sleep better if I dont becuase my stomach is not all grumbly when I sleep. When I wake up also, its nice to have a super flat stomach from not eating the night before... my hip bones stick out in the morning, and I love the feeling of being skinny. Also, for breakfast, is it ok if I just drink some EAS protein shake powder and water? It fills me up and its low carb and low carb.

Also, I am a teenage female in highschool just to give you some info.

I am 5'6" and I weigh 132 pounds but im trying to lose about 15 pounds, any recommendations?

if you are not hungary don't eat! but if you are hungary but you just wanna look skinnier get some help! but ya protien shakes are good, but make sure to get a balanced diet! if you wanna lose weight dont drink pop, maybe eat like fiber for breakfast instead of protien shakes or you could just watch your calories but you are at a healthy weight and if you lose 15 pounds you will be like disguistingly skinny! my friend is about 5'6" and weighs about 115 pounds and she looks like a f**king holocaust victim! so you probably shouldnt lose 15 pounds! maybe 5 if you reall ywanna lose weight!

yes it is okay to not eat dinner but don't make it a habit because then you will turn anorexic and then your parents will worry too much and think there is something oing on. i've done that also but at least eat a tiny snack like an apple or something if you don't feel hungry

It's not completely okay, but the best thing you can do, is eat dinner around 5:30-6 p.m. By the time you go to sleep, you'll have eaten dinner and have had the food digested, it's better that way. Good luck...

132 isn't skinny? Wow. That's odd. I'm a guy @ 19 and I'm 130 and I'm like a big stick.

losing 15 pounds would be way too much for you. be careful you sound like you have an eating disorder

By not eating on a regular basis your body is slowly decreasing your metabolism - this is fine if you intend to never eat dinner again and drink a protein shake in the morning; however, the moment you start eating regularly again, you metabolism will stay at the same slow speed and you will end up gaining weight faster then you would if you kept a regular diet now. I would recommend eating dinner, but if you aren't hungry, take smaller portions. It's not good to go long periods of time without eating, especially if you are involved in sports.

dinner is the 2nd most important meal because when you sleep you are still using up energy if you dont eat your body doesnt get energy and when you wake up you eat Breakfast meaning you break your fasting when you sleep, dinner should be eaten so your body has sufficient energy to combat sickness or heal any damage you may have received. to lose weight just wear alot of clothing and run eat healthy weight loss promoting food like yogurt and fruits avoid the greasy stuff 6/7 days of the week and you should be fit!

If you keep skipping dinner and drinking protein for breakfast you will probably lose much more than 15 lbs.
5'6" you should be 130 lbs and so therefore should lose no more than 2 lbs. You are a teen and need calories etc., just make sure you eat a balanced diet, one that supplies all your days nutritional needs, not just calories.
Keep up the physical activity and your metabolism will stay high. Remember, muscle weighs more than fat and skinny isn't considered attractive by everyone.

you should eat something for dinner rather it being some carrots or a sandwich you should eat 3 meals a day and shouldn't skip dinner..but your suppose to eat something light for dinner tho...and also just having a protein shake for breakfast isn't the bestest idea have some low fat yogurt or something of that matter and on the losing wait side just exercise and eat a balance diet..including not skipping dinner :P and ya

i know what you mean because when i wake up in the morning i see the same thing and i get really happy too lol. but dinner is really one of the most important meals of the day. I think that you should eat a light dinner that saticifes your hungur, even if ur not that hungry. If you still want to see a flat stomach in the morning, eat alot of protein (esp veg. or fruit) and DONT eat past 7. Also, don't drink anything but water for dinner..

ok first off... YOU NEED TO LOVE YOU before anyone else can.. by the specs you gave you are NOWHERE near overweight.... and yes you need to eat something... thats what most people dont understand... you need food to keep yourself going... to stay ALIVE and have energy. you just need to eat healthy.... and watch your portions. instead of big portions only put five bites of everything on your plate... and EAT it. you have to balance your diet... or you'll go into the state of where you never think youre OK. a bad diet adds to that self image. also, eat dinner at 5:30-6 pm so the food has time to digest and get into your system by the time you go to bed. and for breakfast there's nothing better you could do for yourself than oatmeal and a banana. on the days you wake up late and have no time, drink a Carnation Instant Breakfast. Or take a boiled egg and handful of fresh blueberries to go. Fresh smoothies are awesome for breakfast too. put in a bunch of fruit, a little OJ and a couple spoonfuls of yogurt, and you're good to go. Google "super foods", and you'll find out a bunch of good info. good luck darling... i hope you take this advise and take care of yourself!!!=-)

Im just like you. I dont eat at night, and wake up with more confidence. At first it was hard, but now im use to it.

I suggest you eat a healthier breakfast. My rule is:

-eat slow
-smaller portion than desired
-no food after 6. (i stay up till like 12 though..)
-always eat breakfast (otherwise you'll feel sick and dizzy the rest of the day)

i'm 5'6" and 115. i eat a lot also and dont do any sports. you know why? because i eat at LEAST 3 meals/day. and you should really be eating 6 small meals/day. eat more in the morning than at night, your metabolism is at its highest when you first wake up. if you want to lose weight, it might be hard, but try flipping your schedule. eat a big meal at breakfast, go smaller for lunch, and only a little something for dinner. go from biggest to smallest, because like your metabolism, its the biggest in the morning, and smallest at night. there was a lady on tv and she lost of 100lbs by doing this. it will work. and remember not eating only results in weight gain.
