Nutrition Bars?

I'm a 15yr teen girl. I run about 4 times a week 2-3 miles each time. I've been sort of experimenting with nutrition bars since I want to keep myself healthy. I don't eat them for energy but for the nutrients. Are nutrition bars something that would be good to eat frequently ( like maybe4-5 times a week) which ones are the best for your body? also, I've tried the Zone Perfect bars and they taste great and I also read that they help to burn fat by putting you " in the zone"?? what does this mean and is it true?? thanks a million!

Check the level of Saturated Fat on the labels, unfortunately many bars are rather high in heart-damaging fats. The ones you describe have 3.5 grams of saturated fat + corn syrup.

A better way to supplement might be throwing a scoop or so of whey protein powder into a shaker with some skim milk, a better nutritional profile and it will help support your athletic training.
