I AM over weight?


last time i was weighed [like 2 weeks ago] i weighed 133 im only 13 and im like 5 ft 1in or 5 ft!!! i already weigh 20 lbs more than my sister [she is 17] she always makes me feel really bad. like if i wear something of hers she says that 'im streching it out' and it makes me feel really bad. and i cheched my BMI and it says 'im at risk of being overweight'

i dont have any expensive excersize equiptment cause im the only overweight person in my family. all i have to work out with is the ground and a yoga ball! can some1 give me any advice on some workouts i could do. oh and i try to eat healthy [which i do most of the time] but when i get bored i eat. i try really hard to stop and when i cant help it i try to find something good for me. but thats rare that i do.

try doing some crunches,girl push ups, walking around your neighborhood small stuff like that makes a big difference.
drink a lot of water!!!!!!!! that makes a HUGE difference!
since you eat when your bored try taking up an active hobby?

Relax girl........ I'm 15 teen and I'm the youngest but your sis doesn't know that your parents gained weight and that goes to the next in line. 'm bigger than all of my siblings so don't worry its genetic.

aww its okay a lot of people have the same problem. What i would suggest is maybe eat healty and better and dinner is the meal where you eat the less and try to fit in a little excercie like running or situps when you have times.

5'5" 133 lbs is a good weight. Try not to worry about it.

If you walk at a brisk pace for 2-2.5 miles EVERY day (takes about 30-45 minutes), I guarantee you will lose weight. Eat very sensibly, cut back on junk food/sodas and exercise. Drink LOTS of water too.

the best thing you can do for your health is try walking or jogging a bit every week
don't starve yourself
and don't worry about your sister

Well if you're really interested in losing weight, I hear jump rope is a great workout. Plus the rope is easy to afford. So try that out. A good 20-30 mins would be good for you. Good luck!

Darlin' Now I know you know what makes folks gain weight. It's called: TO MUCH FOOD. So please, just quit reaching for the cookies, potato chips, pizza, ice cream, and other stuff you know will increase your weight, and do celery sticks dipped in some sort of light salad dressing. I like yogurt with blue cheese in it. No one has to tell you what you already know. Yes, You are getting fat. Not yet, but on de edge.Heck, get involved in activities that take you out of the house, away from Micky Dees, french fries, or Popeyes. Hey, lamenting doesn't help. Just go for a walk, and watch the bugs, and birds, and the habits of the burgeoning population. Nature is wonderful. (I'm not to sure about the burgeoning population). Study, concentrate on your intellectual interests, do sports, crochet, knit. Your still a kid, and your life is ahead of you. How do you picture your future? Try to visualize that.

well, it wouldnt hurt to lose a few. but only becuz u want to do it for yourself, and not for neone else. dnt stress about it either, or ull obsess and that wnt b gewd at all.
watch ur carbs and calories. only eat wen ur hungry, and if u want to eat summin but ur not hungry, drink a glass of water, then c how u feel.
for exercise, u can run, jog, walk wutever. anything that gets your heart rate up for ATLEAST 20 min. a day.
i kno its not easy, but u just gotta hav determination and [juss do it]. bc if u put too much thought into it, well...that wnt help at all.

Please don't listen to the above posters that tell you its okay to be over weight.

You are over weight at 5'1 133, it is NOT okay to be over weight. You need to realize this unless you want to grow older, and being made fun of even more.

You need to lose this excess fat now because once you get older, it will be harder and harder to lose the weight.

DIET: What kinds of food do you eat? You say you eat healthy but what do you think is healthy. If you eat cookies, drink soda, eat pizza and fast food that is not healthy. You need to stop eating fast food and junk, try to avoid processed food and foods that are empty calories.

Caluclate your BMR by googling for a BMR calculator. w/e it says deduct the number of calories by 500 and start counting calories to make sure you don't go over your calorie needs
If you eat more than your body needs you will get fat.
You say you like to eat when your bored, instead of eating the other stuff you eat grab an apple and eat it. If your hungry or feel like having a snack fill yourself up on fruits and veggies.

Exercise: Do you have a jump rope?
When I was losing weight I used to jump rope in my garage for 20-30 minutes a day, at first i tried doing it 3 times a week and slowly started working my way up.

If you follow these plans and stick to it you will lose weight.
