Teen calorie needs while dieting?


im 15 and i need to loose a lot of weight but when i looked up a health website it says boys my age should eat 2,500 calories a day. so would it be alright for me to eat about 1,800 calories a day?

well I would try to slowly go down to that. Start off at a hundred less every week till the goal you want. 2400, then 2300, then 2200 you get it. that way you can have your body get used to that stage.

did you speak to your doctor yet? Do that first to make sure you need to lose weight. The calorie count is hight because your growing.
You need to cut 500 calories a day out of your diet to lose 1 lb of fat.
you should only lose 1-5 lbsaweek tosafely lose and keep the weight off.

Do 45 min ofcardio 3-4 days a week.
