Has anyone heard of someone taking metformin and having a reaction to tattoos? |
I have a friend who recently has had a couple of tattoos heal funny. He is on metformin and is wandering if this is the cause. He has had other tattoos that have healed beautifully. The tattoos were done by 2 seperate artists and he has been back to them. Both artist are good and well known around the area, and gave suggetions at first and when they didn't work as wel, were stumped It might not be related to the meds but rather the diabetes itself. No the medication had nothing to do with the tattoos healing funny. He needs to go back to the tattoo artist and get his opinion of why the tattoos didn't heal well. I take metformin. I dont think it would cause that though. I have tattoos, but I didnt get them while I was on this med. I think his Dr. is the only one who will know for sure. |
