New tattoos inflamed, healing questions? |
I have 7 tattoos, the last 2 got done on Wed. the older ones started on my lower back and slowly worked their way outwards and the latst 2 are on either side (hip area). These 2 hurt by far the worst and are fairly large. the skin there on both sides is fairly inflamed (not infected). anything i can do to reduce inflamation? have already tried taking advil, helped with the pain a bit, but no diff in puffyness. how long will they be inflamed for? i take it this is a more sensitive spot that on the back as i never had this before. (its a very repultable place, and very sterlie etc & same guy that always does my tats). im also a fairly skinny girl and dont have a lot of fat on that area, not sure if that is related or not? Anti Bacterial soap for washing & A&D Ointment. It's in the baby aisle in stores, it's for diaper rash. Make sure you get the ORIGINAL. That area is pretty sensetive and you should never use unscented lotion theres still other chemicals in the lotion & that's why it's inflamed. lotion needs to be unscented because the chemicals that they use in scented lotion will cause clogging of the pores and bring on infection. what i was told to use was unscented desodin (diaper rash ointment), and it should help with the puffiness and the reddness. Make sure to clean well with soap and water, then apply Bacitracin, or triple antibiotic ointment. Nothing with fragrance dont get tattoos. they make u look low class make sure to wash it with unscented soap gently with your hands as well, and for the inflammation, try some ice packs. Stop everything and book a flight to Miami, FL, then take a taxi cab to the airport, when turning in to the entrance tell the driver to take a fast right so you can fool anyone that might be following you, because if you do as I say they will probably think that your going to go straight, and you have a higher probablility of losing them. After you park your car change your outfit, especially your socks (it is very important to keep your feet warm) next, buy 3 magazines, a pack of Juicy Fruit gum, it is an oldie but still a goodie, a bottle of water, a bag of chips (preferably cheddar and sour cream, but if you can't find those get regular. whatever you do just DON"T get Bugles, those things are weird and freak me out) After your done buying things take a long look around and try to soak up the environment in the airport and see if you can get a sense of reality, the real world if you will.......speaking of the real world my favorite was the one in Austin. |
