How does the pain from body piercing compare to having tattoos?

i have tattoos ,but thinking of getting my nipples pierced, does it hurt more?

I have done over 40 piercings on myself. Also I have done several tattoos. The tattoos are a longer period of stinging but the piercing is not near as long. I have both nipples pierced twice both vertically and horizontally and they weren't bad. I have pierced several females nipples and they said it was painful, but mostly the clamping. Go for it. Its definitely worth it.

try it n see!!!

its a sensitive place
ask christina aguilera

No feels good you cant feel a thing!!!!!!

yikes I wouldn't know!

tats are wayyyyy more painful that a piercing

its the greatest sensation you ll ever feel go for it ..

Tattos are less painfull.Piercing painful.nipple shaping is better

Having anything pierced hurts more than a tattoo.

Tattoos = grit your teeth, let your eyes water pain

Piercing = scream out loud, watch the world change colors pain

its shorter

Yowwwwzer....thanks for the memory lol
Had a tat and loved the feeling of the needles, the coming of the ink to my skin. Then decided to have my nipple pierced. WHOLE different ball game of pain. Was done with a needle rather than a gun, and from the moment it began I was like "Whoah! Stop!!! When the hell is this going to be over???!!!"
Time seemed to stretch out like a rubber mattress of agony, and when finally it was done, I realised I hadn't breathed during the whole process.

Damn thing bled for a day, and would never settle in - kept filling up with puss and crusting over - gee, that was attractive. Ultimately I had to admit defeat and take the piercing out; it just wasn't meant to be.
The tat still looks great and feels great and will be part of me forever. Of course, what I'd feel if the tat had been in a sensitive area like the nipple, I don't know, so I can't give you a like-for-like comparison of the pain, but my vote on the most painful procedure would be piercing without a doubt.

I dont know.....I know that when we have our ears pierced for wearing earrings.its because theres no nerve or vein in the earlobe and nothing to cause serious bleeding or infection there.
Nipples...well thats another story.IF you get into a fight for example and somebody pulls at your nibble ring or if something hooks up accidentally to that nipple ring(like a comb) what will happen?Or are you thinking of wearing a stud with a pin sticking out the otherside.Quite uncomfortable.Very painful process by the way, poking the tender parts...don麓t go there, and then you have to find out a metal or jewellry which you are not allergic to.By the way, they don麓t even give you an anasthetic.

it may differ, i have a tongue ring, lip ring and one tattoo. And the pain was different in all three situations. the day after the tongue ring was inserted my mouth was FREAKING SORE but afterwards it was okay.

more the shock factor than pain.only takes seconds...relax & youl'll be fine..i have both tattoos & nipple pierced did'nt experience any pain so can't compare..post to say if you went ahead with it ;)
