Giving Blood with tattoos? |
I wanted to donate blood. I heard that you can't if you have recently gotten a tattoo. I have 4, and three I have gotten in 2007. My most recent one was in October. Does anyone know the rules on this? Most blood donation centers will not accept your donation if you have gotten tattoos within the last 12 months because of the risk of spreading hepatitis. You can't give blood for one year after your most recent tattoo or piercing. u have to wait at least a year before donating blood if u just recently had a tattoo done it totally depends on WHERE you are some states regulations are more stringent than others.i have donated within 2 days of a new tattoo. |
