Does anyone know how to remove tattoos?

I have looked into laser removal, but that is rather expensive and painful from what I hear. Plus the closest Dr. that would do that procedure is about 500 miles from me. I have a large tattoo on my upper arm that is horrendous! It's about 3" at it's height and almost 7" long. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

my father in law rubbed rock salt into his flesh until the skin was so distorted you couldn't see the tattoo anymore... hope this helps!

seriously, laser removal is the only way to do it as far as i know.

either laser or else you'll have to carve that skin out of your arm...which would be a LOT more painful

WOW THATS A GOOD QUESTION I HEARD A CHEESE GRATTER WORKS RATHER GOOD BUT THATS RATHER PAINFUL AS WELL

Laser is about the only safe way to go, unless you cover it with stage makeup.

ask the tatto place to see what you can do

Laser surgery is the only way to remove it without mutilating yourself. You should have thought of this before you got the tattoo. I have a tattoo, so I can get away with saying this. I thought about it for two years and even drew it on every other day for a summer to be sure I would like it.

Try a coverup tattoo

amputation works quite well and i heard its armless ha ha

The laser removal is it, and even that takes several visits. You must make sure that the plastic/cosmetic surgeon is board certified and also certified in using the laser. So many doctors get a quick run-through when the buy/lease the equipment from the sales person and that is NO training. Make sure the surgeon has done this many times before.

I have heard of a process where they actually scrape the skin until the skin with the tattoo is scraped awaybut that also is quite painful. There is no easy way to get rid of a tattoo. This is why you should think very carefully before putting something like that on your body. It will be semi-permanent and if you do want to get it removed it is painful and scarring to do so.

No, the only thing i know is that uvrays break down the ink and fades it but that's takes a lot of exposure. And I'm guessing you don't really want to expose it.

The cheapest and least painful way to deal with it is to cover it up with body makeup. Check with
shops that deal with the performing arts.. maybe you have a dance studio in your area, you could call them and ask where to purchase the makeup.
