Tanning Bed help??!!.....? |
I have been recently going to a tanning bed, and Im now wrestling with the decision to stop tanning due to the risk of skin cancer. I am 23, have blonde hair and fair skin, but I dont burn badly, and I do tan nicely and pretty quickly....so, I guess Im just trying to decide if I should just stop tanning and be very white and just deal with it, or if the positive effects of the sunbed outweighs the negative...???oh the drama!haha....any advice? preferably backed by facts... I think you can see my pic on my 360' profile if you click on it!! as long as you don't tan excessively u should be okay.. try lsaying out with low spf if you're worried.. fake tans are no good use jergens gradual tanning lotion ..use that and tan just like once a week it will maintain your sunny glow I applaud you for considering the negative effects tanning beds have on your body. Most people who tan don't. Also, anybody can get skin cancer, regardless of skin color or anything. What I don't understand is why you have to change your natural skin color. Why not be happy with what you have? If you can't do that at this point, stop using tanning beds with damaging UV rays and try doing the full body spray tans that the tanning salons give instead. I know for a fact that they don't turn you orange. STOp tanning, i think fair skin is beautiful, women today dont seem to notice how very beautiful fair porcelain skin can be. YOu can play it up to look like a china doll. PErsonally i have red hair and also really fair skin. My friends are always like omg ur so pale, you can play a vampire, or you look like a doll, or u look like queen elizabeth. And i am proud of it. I will never do tanning beds. ANd in the summer i use sun block to avoid anyburns. tanning beds causing cancer is just a myth. And if your that worried about it, just dont go as much. Try to replace some days of going with laying out in the sun on warmer days not everyone is susceptible to skin cancer, but sadly quite a high percentage are. to me , the risks of getting skin cancer from a tanning bed far outweigh being white. I would rather live a long and healthy life and be pale than be nice and tanned for my funeral...... Tanning beds aren't any good. The fact is that the UVA rays that are emitted from the Ultraviolet A light sources in tanning salons are two to three times more powerful than the UVA rays which occur naturally from the sun. Please, please, please don't use a tan bed! Bad things can happen to people who use them. Use spray on tan PLEASE!!! The media hates tanning salons. But the truth is, there are benefits to getting doses of UV. The difference between a tanning bed and playing in the sun is that a tanning session is measured based upon your skin type and what you want to achieve. Playing in the sun results in sun burn and skin damage more often because you forget to apply spf, and you lost track of time. Not so with a tanning bed. |
