UV free tanning beds???? |
I am 14 and I want to go to a tanning bed. I know that some of the tanning beds that causes skin cancer are the ones with UV rays. Is it still dangerous if I go to a tanning bed with no UV rays. Has anyone tried the free UV rays tanning?? Is it safe?? All tanning beds are bad for your skin, if you take medicine that makes you sensitive to light, you will burn really bad in a bed. Continued usage, and cancer is a true risk. The UV free salons, are basically spray on tans, as far as I know. Health wise they may be better, but who knows if it's good for your skin to soak up, whatever it is in the can. it's all bad for you...all rays to burn your skin will harm you. get spray tan if you don't want to hurt yourself. i know it's not as fun and good but skin cancer is the fasted growing cancer in the world. Yes it is still dangerous to use a tanning bed even if it is UV free. Use a self tanner or a salon that offers spray tanning booths. Skin cancer doesn't care if you are 10 or 100 years old. There's no such thing as a UV free tanning bed. What they do is spray a self-bronzer onto your body to give you a fake tan. It doesn't work on all skin tones - some people end up looking orangy rather than bronzed. It's more expensive than regular tanning, but less hazardous. The heat from the lamps can toast your skin. Suntan outside and don't bake your skin. Keep your skin cool and don't overdo it. Go for the spray tan, think is called mystic tan, its more, but worth it not to get cancer or wrinkles. |
