Sinus Tachycardia??

I think I have ST, my doc has put me on a beta-blocker. I have episodes of a fast heart rate and palpitations and just feel horrible. I get bouts of angina and TIAs. Im also on a stroke medicine. I also have high BP. What makes me mad is they r want ing to say panic attacks. I dont feel fright, I just want to lay down and sleep it off when it happens. Its usually my right side when I have a TIA. Am I crazy, is it panic attacks? I just dont know what to think. It comes on sudden and ends sudden, its not a gradual thing. Thanks for ur time.
O and Ive had a heart cath, the heart is physically fine, thanks.

Panic attacks or anxiety attacks frequently manifest as cardiac symptoms.....you may not feel frightened, or "panicked" at all. For some people you become very jittery, have numbness or tingling in arms/hands and face, shortness of breath or a general feeling of dread/unease.

If your cardiac workup is normal, it is very possibly anxiety, You haven't said how old you are, or if you have been diagnosed with TIA or Angina, or just suspect them......they can both be symptoms/manifestations of anxiety. Talk to your doctor....let him know your concerns. You may need to try something like Zoloft to help with the symptoms.

My husband felt very similar....palpitations, arm numbness, worry and dread and wondering if he was going nuts, after the initial diagnosis, and about a week on medication, the problem was taken care of. We were both amazed that all of his concerns were related to anxiety, as we were both convinced it was something much more serious. Some people do have true "Panic" attacks when they are in a highly agitated state, but not everyone has the same symptoms.
