Could supraventricular tachycardia make the patient died? |
Could supraventricular tachycardia make the patient died? I have had episodes of SVT with heart rates of 270 at the highest. My doctor said the risk is that if they cannot figure out the cause and stop the arrythmia, you could go into life threatening arrythmias or other complications such as clots. So... the answer is yes. Yes, I have many heart problems and that is one of them, I had to get an ICD put in a couple months for that. Yes its very possible. Its when your heart is beating way too fast. I work in an ER and the fastest I've seen was 230. Normal is 60-100 bpm The answer is only rarely. MOST patients with SVT are young and healthy. Should an older patient (for some reason) develop SVT, they won't have the physical reserve and are more likely to suffer serious problems. |

Did they do ep studies and ablation? If so then they possibly solved the problem. Were they able to tell you which node was affected? I have taken digoxin since I was little, (I'm 45), but...
