What is up with doctors? |
In reading my chart, I find that I "complain" about things. I make statements about how I feel, I don't whine. I've been told, "That's not what you feel," or "that isn't what you're experiencing". They try to give the impression they know SO much, but I've had conditions misdiagnosed by these "learned" people. My son was in an accident and has a TBI, and the mantra was repeated, "every case is different, treat them all the same." His recovery was well beyond what was expected, but even though he was on Pg. 95 of the TBI treatment handbook, they were still treating him from pg. 21. Then, there's the attutide, are SMUG 101 and Air of Infallibility required classes in Med. School? Doctors don't heal, they TREAT, mostly by guessing. My grandmother starved to death on 15000 calories a day, they misdiagnosed Celiac Sprue. You people are human, get off your self-built pedestals, talk with us, listen to us like were more than sub-human, before you guess at what's wrong with us. i feel you because the same thing is happening to me.my leg and foot really is giving me problems.sometimes i can barely walk.the doctors act as if they could care less.you aren't the only one.join the club.good luck |
