Tb wondering about it? |
My grandfather has tb well he is dieing not sure if its because of the tb or if its just bc he is getting old but anyway I went to visit him had to wear a mask I held his hand though to let him know I was there to comfort him I washed my hands after I left my grandparents house I shouldn't get tb if I wore the mask and everything right?? No, you won't get TB if you wore the mask. TB is an airborne illness and unless he coughed right in your face and you breathed it in, you are not going to catch TB. It is good that you held his hand to let him know that you were there and that you love him more than you fear his disease. Washing your hands is a good practice, but you cannot get TB from contact. It must be breathed in. right but if you're worried about it it's easy enough to get a tb test |

Next time you have to have a test, let them know you have a history of possitive reaction. A positive reactions means you have been exposed to... TB can cause pericarditis (inflammation/infection of the outer surface of the heart), but is unlikely to have caused atherosclerosis of the heart blood vessels - the usual reason for bypass surgery... first of all, my concern is that you should stop taking the meds unless you are diagnosed with Tb, Tb drugs have adverse effects that can truly aggravate your sickness..... the right thing to do ... It possible that you are allergic to the test itself. (I've seen this happen when I was nursing.) ... |
