Hi i took the TB shot 2 days ago and now it has the circumference of an egg or maybe even large!!?

I took the Tb shot 5 years ago and it tested positive but i dont remember it being this big. i feel perfectly healthy and took the tb shot so i could volunteer at a Hospital. it currently is really red and very large. i dont know if this is normal or not. i know now that since i had the tb virus in me its always going to test positive.

Once you test positive you will always test positive. Next time you have to have a test, let them know you have a history of possitive reaction.
A positive reactions means you have been exposed to the virus, your doctor may suggest routine chest x-rays, or treatent with INH and B6. How ever if you ever experience a cough that won't go away, coughing up blood, sudden sweating at night, sudden unplanned weight loss, sudden appetite loss, unexplained fever. Go see your doctor ASAP. Those are signs of active TB.

Congratulations. You get to enjoy one full year of oral antibiotics. Get to your doctor ASAP. You have been exposed and need medication.
