what are the chances of my baby getting congenital syphilis if i am about to have the baby any day and find out the hard way that my kids father cheated on me and gave me syphilis recently?

Yes, it is embarassing, and, yes, it is frightening, but you're hurting your child even more by delaying going to the hospital. The chance that your child has contracted syphilis already is very high since you are most likely stage one, meaning that you contracted the STD recently. This means your child probably also contracted it with you. The sooner you get your benzathine penicillin shot, the better it'll be for you and your baby. THIS IS VERY SERIOUS. You are risking not only your life, but the life of your baby as well. Death IS a result of syphilis, for you and youe baby. You need to get to the hospital immediately to recieve treatment.
