Syphilis sore?

Can anyone tell me what the syphilis canker or sore looks like/feels like? I have a strange bump on my vagina but I was just tested for STD's and it came back negative. Does a syphilis sore hurt?

You could have a boil or some kind of hair bump.

Since you were just tested for STD's I would not worry so much thinking it is Syphilis. (Herpes causes sores also), but anyway, it may be something just as simple as a cyst forming. I have had 2 of them before, they can become swollen and painful and infected. I can't think of the technical name they gave for the cysts right now. I had both of mine lanced because they became large and infected and would not burst on their on. Keep a check on it and have the doctor check it out also. It may be just a cyst or a bump that is getting infected. When they lanced mine to let them drain they also put me on antibiotics. Again, I would still let your gynecologist look at it to be sure.

Now, about the actual chancre....

"The primary stage of syphilis is usually marked by the appearance of a single sore (called a chancre), but there may be multiple sores. The time between infection with syphilis and the start of the first symptom can range from 10 to 90 days (average 21 days). The chancre is usually firm, round, small, and painless. It appears at the spot where syphilis entered the body. The chancre lasts 3 to 6 weeks, and it heals without treatment.
