What could the causes of syncope be without any medical reasons found?

i have recurrent syncope and no one is able to find anything wrong with me. anyone have any ideas?

I have had recurent syncope without any medical reasons, however, i do have this medical condition called postural orthostic tachycardia syndrom this could be a possible cause if it. still just other thoughts.

Postural orthostatic tachycardia could absolutely be the cause.

Two issues to consider with this condition: First, it's completely possible that when you stand from a sitting position (or sit from a lying position...you get the idea), your blood pressure drops, causing a lack of blood (and therefore, oxygen) to your brain, resulting in your syncopal episodes.

Second, when your blood pressure drops, baroreceptors in the carotid arteries and aorta signal the brain to increase the heart rate to build up pressure again. This is where you have episodes of tachycardia (or rapid heart rate). Sometimes in tachycardia, the heart can beat so quickly that the ventricles don't have time to refill before contracting again, which means that you aren't circulating adequate blood volume (in other terms, you aren't 'perfusing'). This, too can result in syncope.

Yeah, you're nuts. Not trying to be insulting, but if a cardiac problem does not exist, which would include a vasovagal event, then it's probably psychogenic.

It's hard to tell without knowing what tests have been run. And who is no one?

Standing too fast from a sitting or lying position can cause what is called orthostatic hypotension which means you've gotten up so fast that the blood has shifted away from the brain, causing syncope. Or it can be a vasovagal response, which is in the nervous system (vagal nerve) which most doctors usually suspect is the cause of syncope. Or, your hemoglobin may be low, causing a decrease in the oxygen transport to your brain.

Well actually all the causes of syncope are by default medical conditions, but some are not life threatening. When you eleminate medical causes you have to rule out cardiac causes and hormonal causes like pheocromocitoma.
Then you have the idiopathic causes (anyone knows why so they called idiopathic), and at the end you have Vasovagal (vasodepressor) fenomena, including psycophysiologic, visceral reflex, valsalva maneuver (increased intraabdominal pressure and increased venous return, like in cough, defecation or urination).
Bottom line: When all the medical conditions are ruled out, this syncope episode is generally bening, unlikely to occur again and a good prognosis depending of your age, the younger the better
Bye

Causes are1. a)In susceptible individuals emotional and physical stimuli 2.b)Carotid sinus syndrome due to carotid sinus hypersensitivity 2. Due to change of posture due to various causes 3.Due brain damage 4.Sometimes due to cough, sneeze and Micturition.5 Basilar artery migraine 6.Due to cardiac causes 7. Due to oxygen lack 8. In diabetes because of low blood sugar 9 Also may be due to hyper ventilation 10 . Also due to hysteria.
