My cardiologist diagnost me with v.v.sycope and i have no idae what it is. I know it is caused by me fainting and getting dizzy spells but what is it exactly Vasovagal syncope is loss of consciousness due to inappropriate stimulation of the vagus nerve. The vagus nerve plays a role in controlling your blood pressure; when it is inappropriately stimulated, your blood pressure falls and you "faint." It could be precipitated by emotional or physical stress, pain, or physiological activities like urinating, defecating, or coughing. It is a very common cause of fainting in otherwise healthy people. Hope it helps some. that would be vaso-vagal syncope, it is fainting due to a drop in blood pressure caused by an irritation to the vagus nerve. See the following website. |
