Swollen Glands / Virus? |
I had a bad head cold a couple months ago, it seemed to have gone away! Except now I am experience pressure in my ears and pain/discomfort in my glands/ lymph nodes under my arms and groin. I feel run down constantly, no fever that I am aware of. Just blah.... I went to my p/a the other day and explained all this to her. she never even checked my neck or under arms for swollen glands. I don't know what I'm looking for but I don't feel any lumps really just feel the constant annoying pressure/ pain. She said she could see lots of pressure in my ears but no infection, and that my nasal passage was inflamed. She diagnosed me with a sinus infection? I have had my share of sinus infections and my face and head kill with those. I don't have either of those symptoms. The glands or discomfort i have under my arms and neck etc is what concerns me the most. I have been on antibiotics since Friday the 15th and no improvement yet! I called the doctor last night and asked for some blood work or something to be done and no call back yet... Any ideas??? Someone mentioned mono to me, but not sure since I have never had that before....Do your glands all over swell with that?Yesterday I started noticing some numbness and tingling in the left side of my face, neck and my left arm, and the original plugged ear and pressure never went away. All this time I have never had a fever either. I took the antibiotics faithfully, and went in for a recheck today mainly because of the numbness and tingling. My blood pressure was great, and no fever! The on call doc did not seemed concerned at all with the numbness and tingling in my face and left arm... I have never experienced anything like this. i had mono. high fever, flaming sore throat, swollen glands, severe headache, fatigue, no appetite, nausea. i never experienced numbness or tingling. get a head ct asap! |
