Swollen glands in the neck?

i have been getting swollen glands in the side of my neck for ages the go down then a while later they swell up again and there really painfull dose antone know any think i can do to get rid of the pain or prevent them swelling up again

I had one on my neck for a year and it didn't go away until recently - I saw ENT doctor and they done scans and needle biopsy's, looking for cancer but nothing, they wanted to operate but decided to do a scan first, there was nothing there as it had disappeared although they found out I have an under active thyroid gland and high blood pressure.

See an ear, nose and throat doctor. You could have stones in your salivary glands, persistent infection, or something else that is irritating them.

im not sure but i think your body is trying to fight some thing off id go and check with your docter cause you never know and its better to be safe then sorry
