Swollen neck glands, chills, headaches? |
About 4 months ago I started having really bad head aches every day. That comes and goes. with the head aches I got chills so bad it was painfull. That comes and goes. then 3 months ago my neck started hurting. puffy swollen glands. thyroid and lymph area is painful. I feel like I am strangling. Since I don't have health care I went to a low cost clinic. he ran a bunch of tests (blood work only) It all came back normal. He decides I must have a tooth infection and give me antibiotics. I went back. More antibiotics. I pay $45 each visit plus $95 for blood work. How can I get the doctor to do more than talk me into MORE antibiotics that do NOTHING. I still have headaches, chills, swollen neck glands and I strangle in pain every day. How can I get help?????? Its like all he is good for is giving antibiotics (pcn) that don't fix me. :( My "Thyroid" was checked. Not looking for any answers that have the word "Oil" or "leaves" or "chicken feathers" in them. I think you have low thyroiud u should get it checked out.. take coconut OIL .. virgin to be exact have you told the doctors about your traveling history? are you from USA? or from South or central america? have you been in Africa lately? have you had all your vaccinations? have you done any drugs using needles? Pain is good because it confirms that you don't have cancer. have you had a T.B. test and HIV test (chills) I would go to another doctor, you will of course have to spend more money, but at least you may find an answer. It sounds to me like you have glandular fever, but I would think that would have shown up on blood tests, but I had a similar problem a few years ago, and also had similar symptoms. I had 5 blood tests, and they all showed up nothing specific. I was even given an A.I.D.S.test as the doctors were baffled.I did eventually get better( and I didn't have A.I.D.S. either ) It was eventually put on my notes, that I was suffering from a mononucleous type illness, in other words Glandular fever. I hope you feel better soon. Go to the health dept. and get tested for HIV, just to rule it out. These tests may be free. |

Hypochondria? Why have you been to a specialist when your family practitioner has thought it was allergys? ...This ususally indicates infection. If it's a viral infection, it will just run its course (no meds would help), but if you get a soar throat OR a fever OR it doesn't cvlear up in a week (... Take her to her pediatrician. Make sure nothing else is going on. ...I don't know,but my throat swells up sometimes to and my doctor told me it was my lymph nodes...He said that sometimes they swell if you are ill with cancer or some other serious illness,but h... You should go see a doctor. Maybe you have a really bad sinus problem ...Acne is painful when it gets to sensitive areas of the body, but acne doesnt cause the glands to be swollen, it could be an allergic reaction to something ... You need to see your gynecologist and have a mammogram to rule out cancer, because breast cancer does affect the lymph nodes at times. I don't see how cutting your arms has anything to do with... |
