Four Swollen Glands?

I have four swollen glands in my neck. One on both sides of the adams apple, and one above each of those. One of them has been there since August, but has gotten smaller, but has never completely gone away. I've had a cat scan and it showed a lump over 2 cm in my neck and other smaller glands enlarged in my neck. This has got me freaked out. They scheduled me for a general surgeon to check up on a biopsy, but when I went to see him he said the gland over 2 cm wasn't that impressive, and that he couldn't feel the other glands in my neck so nothing was done and he scheduled me for a month down the road. Well the month is almost up and the one time big gland has stayed pretty small, but I've had 3 others get bigger, and I'm completely scared. I'm on 21 and I always seem to fear the worst. I don't have a loss of appetite or weight, I don't itch, but I'm still thinking i'm done. Any ideas please? My main doctor has always thought it was allergy related but I just don't know

Hypochondria? Why have you been to a specialist when your family practitioner has thought it was allergys?

Get a 2nd opinion....I am a medical professional for 30 years... any Dr Wait & See or Dr Let's Watch-it... you need to thank & get a referral for a 2nd opinion from a specialist in the area for which you are seeking medical advice....and pray for healing... God hears your voice & knows your every concern... Somebody prayed for me... Breast cancer survivor for 23 years.... I will pray for you...& try not to be a fatalist... it could be just swollen glands!

I answered your question earlier without mentioning Lymphoma because it doesn麓t really look like Lymphoma.
I am diagnosed 3 years ago. I did the biopsy which confirmed it.
The nodes I had were 3cm at the time.
They never diminished in there size. There were a lot more small nodes like 1cm shown on the CT, actually a multitude od grown lymph nodes everywhere in my body.
I lost weight.
My lymph nodes reached 6cm in one year.
I have some itching occasionally.

So, you see. What you describe doesn麓t really match.
The grown lymph nodes occur in infections very easily.
Don麓t be so worried.
The best think is go ahead and perform the biopsy, (if not strait away then later if they continue growing).
The biopsy will determine 100% the cause of the problem.
