Swollen glands on a 9 yr old!!!? |
My 9 year old daughter has swollen glands under one nipple and it is noticably larger and darker than the other. Does this mean she starting to develop this early??? Take her to her pediatrician. If her breasts are developing, be warned, her period might not be long behind. You might want to talk with her about puberty... I think since it's only on one side I would probably take her to the doctor. Has she seemed sick lately, like she might be fighting an infection? Feel on both sides of her neck and see if those lymph nodes feel swollen. Mine always swelled in my neck when I had strep throat. I don't know,but my throat swells up sometimes to and my doctor told me it was my lymph nodes...He said that sometimes they swell if you are ill with cancer or some other serious illness,but h... You should go see a doctor. Maybe you have a really bad sinus problem ...Acne is painful when it gets to sensitive areas of the body, but acne doesnt cause the glands to be swollen, it could be an allergic reaction to something ... You need to see your gynecologist and have a mammogram to rule out cancer, because breast cancer does affect the lymph nodes at times. I don't see how cutting your arms has anything to do with... yes tonsils ...Glands that swell can be normal, an indication that your body is fighting an infection. But the swelling itself can mean something, so please do yourself a favor and see a doctor. I had swoll... You need to have this checked!!! What they will do is a Cat Scan just to make sure you don't have anything major going on. Lots of times your lymph nodes will swell up due to a cold or illness...
