Is there a home remedy for swimmer's ear? |
My family practioner once told me if you get water in your ear you can use a product from home to dry the water up before it turns into swimmer's ear. I couldn't remember if it was ammonia or vinegar. Does anyone know? it was vinegar. take a small cup from a cold medicine bottle or something similar and flush out the ear by pouring it in with your head sideways and leaving it like that for a moment before jerking it back and removing all the liquid. good luck! Equal part alcohol to equal part water. Put a few drops in ears prior to swimming and after exiting the pool. "consider placing a few drops of white vinegar into each ear, one ear at a time. Vinegar has anti-microbial properties that can help to suppress bacterial growth and potential infectious processes. " |
