Have you ever had swimmer's ear? Question about hearing loss.? |
I have swimmer's ear and it is so painful and I have lost most all of my hearing. How soon did the pain go away after you started on antibiotics? How soon until your hearing returned? Thanks. By the way. I did not get this from swimming. I am already on antibiotic drops and pain meds, but it is not helping much. I am wondering how soon I can start to feel better. I've had it all sweetheart! NOO FUN! It must stink to not be able to here. I don't really know how long it took me to get my hearing back. I don't know if I have lost all my hearing from this. But then again I am deaf and wear hearing aids! POOR YOU!! Hope you get feeling better fast! I used to put in very warm (lukewarm, make sure it isn't too hot) olive oil into my ear. It worked fine. whenever i had swimmers ear it just muffled my hearing...try putting some drops of rubbing alcohol in them to clear up the water in there. just go to the doc and get some antibiotics whenever the sooner the better swimmers ear is what you get when you get water in the inner ear canal and it soaks into earwax like a sponge......It then causes a local irritation and swelling. Using an medication such as cortisporin otic solution as directed by your physician should clear up the symptoms within 3-4 days |
