Alchol and vinegar for Swimmer's Ear?

I have an ear infection (ONCE AGAIN) in my left ear. Pretty sure it's swimmer's ear as I've had it before. Thing is, I haven't been swimming... it's WINTER. My hearing has been coming and going all week now, and I woke up this morning and have no hearing what so ever in my left ear. I was using vinegar and alcohol all week and it seemed to bring my hearing back almost immediately, but today it didn't work.
Anyway, I've been doing some reading and a lot of people say isopropyl alchohol and white vinegar are a pretty good solution to this problem...
What I'm asking is, has anyone else had a similar problem and used this solution and it worked? Anddd... how often should I use it? Annndd... how long till I can hear again!?
THANKS IN ADVANCE :)
Any more suggestions would be appreciated, I'm desperate to get my hearing back ASAP.

I hate to ask this, since if you've actually had Swimmer's Ear before, you would know if you have it...but are you sure? Real "Swimmer's Ear" is Otitis Externa, an actual infection of the external ear canal. I had it once before, and it was EXTREMELY painful. It's not the same as just having an excess buildup of wax, it's an actual infection. My ear was hurting constantly, and the slightest touch of my ear, especially any pulling on the lobe would make the pain worse. It was unbearable. The ear canal can get so swollen and inflammaned that it affects your hearing. I could hardly hear anything out of that ear, it was like I had an earplug on.

I ended up having to go to the doctor and get antibiotic drops. Vinegar may help to prevent an infection, but once you already have it, you probably also need antibiotics.

But really, if you have "Swimmer's Ear," there would be no doubt about it. You would know it. It would be very painful.

You should go to a doctor, to be on the safe side.

You probably have a build up of ear wax which causes your ear not to drain properly, thus it plugs up and you get an ear infection and its hard to hear.

I have never heard of vinegar and alcho. I have used heated oil (veg or olive) to sooth the ear. You can try using debrox to loosten the wax and then flush the ear with a mixture of warm water and hydrogen peroxide, if it is really impacted you will need to see your doctor to have your ears flushed and medicated drops to get rid of the infection. To avoid this in the future try using debrox at least once a week to keep the wax soft and flowing and avoid using Q tips to clean your ears as all they do is push the wax further in the ear canal and over time you end up with a plugged ear.
