Swimmer's Ear?

I have two questions.

1. What happens if the ear canal is so swollen that the prescribed ear drops do not roll into the ear?

2. Is it normal to have pain when chewing or trying to move my teeth together on the affected side?

Thanks!

i have had swimmers ear quite often. very irritating and painful. it is normal to have pain when eating, you're moving your jaw, near your ear, it's gonna hurt hon. if the doctor prescribed the drops lay on your side and have someone put them in, then put a cotton ball in your ear, don't stuff in there too far, just enough to keep the medicine in. hope you get to feeling better.

1. i dont think that is possible. some drops have to get in. but if not then see a dr.

2. yes.

1 you need a dr to look at that
2 this might be trigeminal nerve
3 see dr
