Water in ears or swimmer's ear?

Ok, I went swimming 2 days ago and the water was cold so I didn't swim that much. That night when I was asleep I felt bad pain in my ears but mostly in my right ear. My ears have felt clogged and cloudy. My hearing is slightly muffled in my right ear. My ears don't hurt and there is no rash or irritation they just feel clogged. Does any of you know how to get water our of ears or how to treat my problem? Thanks.
*also, I have held my nose when I swim for my entire life, I am 14, and when I went swimming that day my friends convinced me to not hold my nose. Could that be part of why I have water in my ears? I can hear and feel the water in my ears it's kinda freaky..

oh yea i have tried jumping on one foot, the vinegar and alohol thing, putting more water in to flush it out, popping your ears, everything! also there is like crusty dried up blood in my ears so yea...

I had the same problem too when i went swimming a week ago, but i just put a couple teaspoons of water in my ear and tilt your head back so it won't come out, (And no, this won't make it worse)
Anyways, tilt your head back and leave it in there for a couple seconds, then take a cottonball, or paper towel, and tilt your head the other way to realease all the water out! it really works!! Hope this helps!!

Hi I have the same problem. When I go in the pool or wash my hair I have to wear ear plugs. If I do get water in my ears I use an old time remedy. Dont laugh this really works. Get a small bottle with a lid on it and mix 1/2 rubbing alcohol and 1/2 clear vinigar. Mix them together and it will get the water out of your ears. You may have to use it 2 or 3 times but it works. Also when you put this in your ears use an eye dropper and put about 3 to 4 drops inthe ears and put cotton in your ears to hold the drops in. After about 10 minutes take the cotton out and you may find a big suprize. I learned from old people about alot of things when I was you. I am 60 years old now and these old cures work. GOOD LUCK
