Ear problem...excess wax build up?

I've had for a few months now alot of watery wax in both my ears. If I don't use q-tips througout the day, the wax will dry and this crust will form in my ears.

I went to a dr and got antibiotics but those did nothing. She said she believed that my eustacian tubes were closed.

Prior to this, I had the exact opposite problem where my hearing was significantly reduced because my ears felt clogged like I had water in them. That cleared up but this problem followed within a day.

Anyone have this problem and was their a prescription that worked or am I doomed to have to get a tube put into my eustachian tubes?

It's not swimmer ear...that's 100% ruled out.

Well, I just spoke with my mother and she said that I had lots of problems with my ears as a child and they had to insert some tube more than once...that sucks.

My brother had this problem when we were little. The prescriptions did nothing. He had to go and get tubes put in his ears. After that, he never had a problem.
