What sweeteners can diabetics use besides artificial sweeteners?

No equal, splenda or sweet n low.

there is a herb out there called STEVIA, it has zero calories and it is perfect for dieters, diabetics or anyone else that need to watch certain intakes. Look it up on the Internet it has many different write-ups. It comes in a powder form or a concentrated liquid, you can find it in most health food stores.

if they don't go artificial then they have to go with regular sugar and that's not good for them so I think the answer is nothing. I'm sorry to say.

nutra-sweet

Stevia- its a natural sweetner derivered from a plant, its green and you can get it in most health food stores

www.stevia.net

I think those are the only sweeteners that are not real sugar available to cater to people who for whatever reason cannot have sugar.

Aspartame, the name of the artificial sweetener used in things like diet sodas are the most popular sweeteners. It is the same thing though as Sweet N Low so I am not sure what else to tell you...

use stevia. why? because it isn't chemically manufactured in a lab like other artificial sweeteners.

There's something in the health food store called "Stevia," but I've never tried it. You might want to call and ask them about it.

Xylitol. I've used it with my son with autism.

Stevia is the one to use.Natural products are easier for the body to break down. Some artificial sweeteners cannot be broken down by your body and you can be left with kidney stones. No Fun.

I was going to ask? Is sweetened food your family's reward for a good day? If you are a Diabetic, Do like the rest of the Diabetic world does. Get used to no sugar. Iced Tea without sugar taste great to me and so does non sweetened Cereal. It's a matter of taste and good health to a Diabetic. The taste you can get used too. The Diabetes is not an acquired taste it's a Lifestyle.
