Are artificial sweetenenrs like those containing aspartime & phenylketonurics cannot cause diabetes?

are these artificial sweeteners good for diabetics?

Sugar and/or sweeteners don't actually cause diabetes as far as I know. Diabetes is caused by the pancreas not being able to produce enough insulin to control the amount of sugar in the body. Avoid aspartame, too much of it causes cancer.

i wouldn't say they're particulary GOOD for diabetics (meaning don't eat it by the spoonful like it's medicine or something).
but if it means you're eating less sugar, then it is an appropriate food choice.
you may be thinking about some "dangers" of these sweeteners- don't worry though- unless you're allergic to peanuts, which means you can't have phenylketonurics.
and those studies that said nutrasweet was carcinogenic were misproven.
personally, i'd go with splenda cause it's at least somewhat derived from actual sugar (still ok for diabetics, too!)

artificial sweeteners I've been told are okay to a degree. They still raise your sugar rate but at a slower pace. If you read the splenda box it states that it is refined sugar. As a diabetic I stay away from splenda but do use the others.

Just so you know phenoketonurics are people (not an ingredient) who have a disorder that causes their body to be unable to process aspartime/phenalalanine. A form of diabetes can be brought on by a poor diet primarily one with a lot of sugar but this and other forms of diabetes are usually the result of genetics.

Supposedly yes as they do not raise blood sugar levels. They do however raise plasma insulin levels and can cause a hypoglycemin reaction. My personal opinion is that they are not good for you. Try stevia which is all natural, non caloric, and does not raise blood sugar or insulin levels. It is far safer for you.
