Why do the younger generations have so many skin conditions and acne that the previous generations never had?

Why are skin conditions at epidemic levels?

I don't remember anyone having any skin affliction when I was younger. No women had it at all. And many had VERY stressful lives.
Why is this,
and in 30 years, will we be known as the "scarred generation"?

The air is NOT more polluted. It's actually cleaner.
Our lives are not as stressed, their lives back then were just as hard if not harder.
All fat people don't have bad skin,
it seems to be either or.
Many people who eat very well have bad skin.
Like ME. NO ONE eats more healthy than I do. I NEVER eat fast food.
What the F is up?

many factors involved, junk food , drugs, sodas are what the kids eat now
when we were young we ate proper meals and once in awhile had junk food

Fast food diets

I think it is diet, stress and environment. All were different 30 years ago. Think about it. Why are so many kids over weight? Well, nowadays, food diet is poor and kids are less active. They aren't out feeding chickens and walking to school ten miles uphill both ways. You know? And the air is more polluted. And kids have more stress than any previous generations. Just seems to me that alot has changed.

It's all about the diet, and I think outdoor pollutants might have a lot to do with it. All the detergent and fabric softeners we use on clothing and pillow cases might affect our complections. The ingredients in makeup and so on and on it goes.

There are too many fast food restaurants that teens are attracted to that offer food with too many harmful ingredients.
The younger generation are unaware of junk food's effects on their bodies.
Therefore it will get worse, which is why the younger children have worser skins than older children.

There is no change except a bit more sun-related disease (and that in an older age group).
And folks, get over the diet thing. Fats, sodas, etc. do NOT affect acne. Have a bit of chocolate and talk to your dermatologist.

its everything in society today fear, diet, sexism life chaged a lot

There are many cheap and effective home remedies for acne. Tomato slices, turmeric, papaya juices and home made face packs will treat existing pimples and prevent further problems. More remedies at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html

Hydrogenated fat and trans fatty acids are probably the main cause, as they increase androgens (which lead to acne) according to the facemaster course. They are fairly recent additions to food...I learnt everything about clearing acne without having to do fasts or change my diet too much from this book. You can get it from the website http://facemaster.net/thefacemastercours...
