Skin Conditions? |
I have had a skin condition for about 18 months that effects my hands, feet, nose, eyelids and, occasionally, my lips and mouth. It takes the form of little white pieces of skin that looks almost like cotton wool but hard. Around my nails, and the actual nails themselves, are particularly effected. The skin cracks and peels and my nails go soft, lumpy and break easily. There is no itchiness. I have been advised this is a form of eczema. I have tried various treatments through my doctor and even Chinese herbs and acupuncture, to no avail. Has anyone else come across this, and did they discover a treatment that actually worked? This sounds like a form of psoriasis and really needs treating by a dermatologist as it can get worse and worse. Are you sure it's not scariasis (sp) pronounced soorisis? as madamspud says it sounds like psoriasis you need to be referred to a derm through your gp |
