Skin & Sun & cancer?

How does exposure to the sun causes wrinkling?
Why does fair skin show more wrinkling after long term exposure to the sun than dark skin?
Why are fair-skinned individuals more susceptible to skin cancer?

Fair skinned people have fewer melanocytes to protect the deeper layers of tissue, so skin cancers arise more frequently. The skin itself is also thinner, and over time, damage to the underlying collagen (skin's supportive tissue) becomes damaged and allows wrinkles to form.

These sound like homework questions. I'll bet if you read your text you'll find more detailed information.

Fair skin contains less melanin. It protects to some extent from sun damage.

UVA rays will age your skin. UVB rays will burn your skin and give you cancer. Use at least factor 15 and keep applying through the day. Otherwise you'll turn into leather.
