** Sinusitis?? **?

So my MRI came back with reuslts that I have thickening in the left maxillary. My Allergist said something about non-allergic rhinosinusitis. Has anyone experienced these symptoms with sinusitis?

-pressure in head/ears/above eyes
-fatigue
-very sensitive to light

I know that my symptoms can sound like Migraines but I don't really get bad headaches. Its more like pressure and the sensitivity to light is annoying.

Has anyone heard of these as symptoms? (from what I researched they can be related to one another)

Thanks!!

I had that happen a lot. My doctor would say it's sinusitis and give me antibiotics. Then, she sent me to an ear nose and throat specialist and he surgically removed dead tissue and straightened my septum ( it was slightly blocking the left air passage). Maybe you should see an ear, nose, and throat specialist.

Actually, yes, I had (have) those same symptoms, but mine are caused by Lyme Disease... They were the very first symptoms that I had, probably about 4-5 yrs ago.
I kept going to the Dr and they kept saying the same thing....allergies...but nothing I took worked.
I am not saying that it sounds like you have Lyme or anything even remotely close, but the fatique, light sensitivity and head and ear pressure are common complaints in ppl with late stage Lyme.
Best to continue for now with your doctor and maybe ask to see an ENT (ear, nose and throat doctor) to see if they have any answers.

Your research has done you well, yes this symptoms can mirror one another. I have migraines and during specific seasons I develope sinusitis. The major concern here should be to have this treated right away as it can become life treatening if not treated. If you take OTC medication for extreem head congestion from sinus and it clears then the obvious is spoken, you are done. If it continues and you develope the other symptoms then just have a dr. check you out and they can give a decongestent and antibiotics. The anitibiotics will be due to the infection that causes the symptoms you listed. How this can go arye is if the infection is not treated it can spread from the sinus pockets; above your eyes, sides of your nose, under your eyes, to the rest of your face. Has it ever gotten so bad that your teeth were sensitive when you tried to brush them or the back of your head (tubes that run behind your ears) are tense and painful? This is a result of the infection spreading. If it reaches your spinal cord it can do permenante damage as any infection could. This was my situation 3 weeks ago and with the Rx of a 10 day dose I felt a difference in a matter of 2 days. I hope this helps some and you feel better
