Rhinitis, Sinusitis, And Allergies?

I had asthma when I was a kid, I cant say I'm totally cured from it, but I havent had any attack since I was 6 years old (now I'm 15), but I have some "consequences" like chronic rhinitis and sinusitis. I have a rhititis and sinusitis (yeah, both toguether) at least 1 every 2 years, and I takes me about 15 days to get completly rid of it. My real trouble is that I suffer allergies ALL days, u know, I have to clean my nose 24/7!!! Even my nosetrils are very damged, the base of my nosetrils are always red (even in summer!!!). I dnt know what to do, I take Allegra but IDK which one is better, Allegra D, 120 o 180. And sometimes I use Fexofenadin instead of it, it "solves" the prblem but sometimes (like right know) the allergies is SO strong... And besides, those medicines make me sleepy... So, what do u recommend (dnt make me go to doctor cuz it'll be the same)??? HELP!!!

Asthma is an allergy and there is no cure for it. You may want to ask you doctor about Singulair. It is a once a day pill to help prevent asthma and allergic rhinitis. If you just go to the doctor and say nothing then he/she will do nothing. You need to ask about other medications like singulair or what ever he/she likes.

I feel your pain!!!! I've had asthma and chronic allergies my whole life and it wasn't until the past few years that I was able to exist comfortably. Currently I'm on Zyrtec for allergies and singulair for my asthma, as well as flonase and an inhaler. I've also had 2 nose surgeries, one to correct a deviated septum and remove a cyst, the other to rebuild my right nostril and create adequate drainage in my head. I've never had rhinitis, but I had an on-going case of sinusitis that never seemed to go away. I would recommend getting an allergist and seeing an ear, nose and throat doctor.
I don't know how long you've been on Allegra, but I was on that for years, and eventually I had to change the medication because it stopped working. If you're anything like me your allergies are only going to get worse as you get older. I know I said this already but I HIGHLY recommend getting an allergist. I hope this helps!!
