Shoulder Injury lasting for months?

I have a injured shoulder that lasted for months.
I don't know what's the problem.

To explain about the pain.
When I lift up my arm I felt the pain on the top near the collor bone.(Like Putting on shirt)
When I place my arm across my chest, and pull in my arm using the other hand, I felt the pain at the same area.
Even when I place my mobile to have a chat, I felt the pain.
There are no swelling or signs of damaged from the outside, strength on my weight lifts have since drop (not much just a little.) Shoulder press and beach press

I might have injured my shoulder when I sling a very heavy bag on my right shoulder about 4 months back.

Anyone out there with the same problem and any way to cure the pain so can get back to training, ASAP. Thanks.

Shoulders do a lot more than we think they do until we injure them. I injured my shoulder doing repetitive actions and had to go in for physical therapy. It has been almost a year and it finally seems to be getting better. I was on muscle relaxers, pain killers, massage therapy, motion therapy (they moved by arm, I was not supposed to try and move it), arm and shoulder exercises and acupuncture. I still get twinges, but I keep up with the exercises I was given at the rehab hospital that treated me.

It has taken a long time, but now I am more aware of how I move my body.

i have shoulder problems from swimming and the best advice i can give you is to go see a Sports Medicine doctor, they'll get you back in the gym in no time and with no pain

Not being able to examine you in person I can only make an educated guess by your description.

My first thought is that you sprained the AC joint. This is the joint formed by the clavicle (collar bone) and the scapula (shoulder blade) and is at the top of the shoulder. A severe sprain of this joint would result in the clavicle "popping up" like a piano key. A minor or moderate sprain would not allow the clavicle to pop up, but would cause the symptoms you describe. Rest (avoid those activities and exercises that cause pain), ice (15 to 20 minutes, as needed), anti-inflammatory medications (aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen), and light exercise may help.

You may also have impingement, tendinitis, bursitis, etc. You should be evaluated by an orthopedist who specializes in shoulders.

You have pulled a muscle in your shoulder. This takes many months to completely heal if ever
