Shoulder injury. What could it be? |
Okay so if you put your left hand in your armpit.. (sorry) and your move it like an in and a half around to your back there should be a bone right there. right there on that spot pressure hurts it. it feels like my bones bruised or something on the shoulder blade bone thing but up a little bit. and then if you flex your arm the muscle on the top. right above that is a bumpy thing that i dont have on my other arm. and thats sore to the touch as well. it feels like a bruise but no bruising. and that continues up my shoulder until the actual shoulder bone. its also a little sore in those places to rotate or swing my arm around. i had a soccer tournament this weekend 4 games total. i'm assuming i fell on it bunches. it also hurts my shoulder (a very light soreness that i can barely) to type and stuff, and use my hand. what do you think this might be and what should i do for healing it If you kept falling on it, then it sounds like you strained your rotator cuff muscles. Stretch internal and external rotation and apply heat to increase blood flow to speed healing. You can also take advil to try to reduce any inflammation that you may have. put a hot or cold compress on it and if it continues or gets worse, (after a few days) then go to a doc if you wanna. take advil, tylonal, mortin, or aleeve (not sure how to speel it) to ease the pain. also, even though it may hurt, you need to do musel excerises. Lets your shoulder rest, you have probably overworked it. Try not to use your left arm for labor demanding things, such as lifting heavy objects. If it is swelling, put a nice bag of ice on your shoulder, and take some pain medication. If the pain is still there when you think it shouldn't be, I say go to the doctor's office, and get a professional opinion. Hey.. It sounds like you injured it during sports or maybe slept on it wrong and didnt realize it. I would stay away from doing anything requiring effort! If it keeps up see a doc definately. I wouldnt worry too much about it though. I know shoulder pain cause i dislocated mine twice.. Ouch!!! Try taking advil it works on inflammation. Dont do tylenol it wont take away inflammation. As far as the bump goes..Maybe its always been like that and you never noticed. I also have a bumpy thing too> I would guess its normal but im not a doc either. Good luck!! |
