Back/Shoulder Injury - Any suggestions? |
9 years ago I was bending and lifting repeatedly with my left arm and after about 45 minutes of that I felt and heard a pop under my left shoulder blade. It tingled but did not hurt. The next day I woke up and could not move my head or neck & had SEVERE pain under my left shoulder blade. Since then I have seen over 2 dozen Dr's, had 7 surgeries (shoulders, TOS, etc) and had more diagnosis's then I can count, yet the pain gets worse & my quality of life decreases weekly. No diagnosis has been accurate and most Dr's tell me they don't know & can't help. I can feel a HUGE lump of scar tissue (golf ball sized) under my left shoulder blade. Will removing (surgery) that scar tissue help, hurt, do nothing? Any help or ideas. Sadly just about any physical activcity makes it hurt worse. I have tried swimming but I cannot move my left arm even to shoulder height, let alone raise it above to complete a swimming move. :( You need to have the "Bundle Nerve" extending from your spine to your shoulder examined in detail . It sounds like you have compression of the vertabrae . You might find a decompression ( stretching ) table ( done in a specialists office ) to be helpful . Otherwise the best thing is try to ignore it . I know that sounds dumb but the more you finaggle with it the worse you will make it . Just do stretching exercizes every morning and night , and keep your weight down . Exercise it what helps your condition, there's nothing more you i was crushed under 1300 lb. machine at work in 1998, broke my neck at, C/5--C/6 and had surgery to fuse C5-6-and 7, 2007 and I'm in more pain than ever! Cant sleep, wake up screaming every time i fall asleep. Scar tissue is evil! if you think they can Lazar it out without creating more than i say go for it. if scar tissue has attached to nerve(s) don't bother, good chance surgery will only cause more pain and more scar tissue. You need cervical spine (neck) manupulation and therapy. |
