Shoulder injury... when can i play again? |
OK, I am a rapid basketball player. I play for about four or more teams. I am very aggressive and love the game. Saturday i had a recreational basketball game for my town. I ended up dislocating my shoulder and haven't played since then. Since Saturday i have missed three practices and five games, which really SUCKS! I went to the pediatrician and got X-rays in the lab. He couldnt tell me for sure because its not his medical practice but he thought the space between my clavicle bone and shoulder was too wide. I have missed so much basketball and i cant do anything for my self and if you knew me... i am a very independent person. AH! Im am going to die if i cant start playing again. My mom made an appointment with the Orthopedic doctor at the sports and medicine clinic for Tuesday but thats when my tournament starts and i wont be in school and its one game elimination. My team NEEDS me i am the best player and we are playing a really good team first game. When can i start playing again? You can't play again until you've seen the orthopedist, been told what's going on with your shoulder, and have been treated effectively. Your orthopedist will tell you when you can start playing again. |
