Popping shoulder! HELP!? |
I discovered a few months ago that i can pop my left shoulder if i do a certain movement with it. it actually makes a popping noise and sometimes a grinding noise like the bones are rubbing against eachother. it doesn't hurt at all and i have never had any shoulder injuries. i never used to be able to do this? is there any explanation for this? should i be concerned? There are certain conditions that can cause this. However if you are hearing a grinding noise it sounds as if there is some sort of degeneration going on and if that is the case even though you are not feeling pain right now, eventually you can develop arthritis or osteoporosis. You should have it checked, just one appointment should answer your concerns. It is probably just some fluid between the joint. But call the good doc just to check sometimes popping or grinding noises can be caused by forcing liquid out from between the joints, like when you crack your neck or your knuckles. if it feels like the same sensation or feeling than you're probably okay, but if it starts to hurt, or even if you just happen to be at routine check-up or something you should probably ask the doctor just to make sure |
