Shortness of breath while driving, but I can breath better standing up. why? |
i dont know what it is, but when i get in my car and start driving i have shortness of breath and an unproductive dry cough to get more air in. but when im standing up.. its 95% better for me to breath its everytime i drive. when i sit in a desk at work, its not as bad as in a car. This has happened to me before, and do excatly what the first guy said does this happen anytime you are sitting or just when driving? If it happens all the time it could be because your lung capacity gets smaller if you hunch over. Try sitting up pushing away from your hips. If its just when your driving it could be a reaction to something in your car (exhaust fumes etc) good luck. Probably because when your sitting, some parts of your body get bend which may effect your breathing. I suggest going to the doctor and getting a breathing test done, I use an inhaler, which is perscribed by a doctor because I have asthma. an inhaler pumps adrenalin into your lungs, making it easier to breath I guess you must be a obese person with big abdomen.when you set especially in car sit, your abd.get pressure and push up the contan to your diaphragm and result reduce your lung move capacity. If you have only limited pulmonary function you will feel SOB.How to due with it? Lose weight, improve your lung capacity by treat the lung illness(if you have)exciser regularly.avoid pressure to your abd by change bigger car and set. Check your car cabin for exhaust leaks from the engine, or moldy rugs, rotted rubber backing on the underside of car rugs. |
